FAQs

Q. What are your candles made with?

A. Our candles are made with a proprietary blend of coconut soy wax with beeswax and little coconut oil added.

Q. Do your candles have paraffin? If not, why not?

A. No. The waxes we use do not have paraffin. It is important to us to use only paraffin free waxes. While paraffin is very popular, give excellent hot throw, and has been used for centuries, it also has reported downsides. It is said to release harmful chemicals in the air when burned. Some of these chemicals include benzene and toluene. These are carcinogens. It is also not the most environmentally friendly as it is a non-renewable resource.

Q. Where are your candles made?

A. Our candles are made in Chesapeake, Va in our home. They are hand poured in small batches.

Q. What makes your candles better than the others?

A. Not a matter of "better", but we strive to use products that are natural which lends to being less toxic. We don't use additives in our wax blend. Even though dyes can add beautiful colors to your candle, we don't use them because most dyes contain synthetic materials that are harmful when burned. Though the fragrances we use are synthetic, they are also phthalate free. Our wicks are made of cotton and don't contain zinc or lead. A candle that is healthier for the air will have minimal soot when burned and cause less headaches and respiratory issues.

Q. What happens if I'm not satisfied with my candle?

A. You can send your candle back and always have the option of choosing another candle of equal value, or getting your money back. If you choose another candle, we will mail your new candle to you free of charge. You receive a full refund or another candle only if you send the candle you do not want back.

Q. What if my candle is damaged in transit?

A. If this unfortunate mishap occurs, please send the candle back or email a photo of the damaged product and we will be glad to send you another candle with no cost to you,

Q. Will you always have the candle I want ready for shipping?

A. We do try to keep our products in stock, however, because we are a small company with so many fragrance options, it can be difficult. If you order something we don't have in stock, we can make it and send to you with a note included stating not to use before ----- date. It takes 2 weeks for your candles and wax melts to cure for the best scent throw.
